Why sound therapy?

Sound is a very powerful medium that most of us take for granted—we don’t stop to consider how  sound really effects us. And yet, if you pay attention, you will find yourself reacting continuously to sound throughout your day.

As humans, we are wired to be exquisitely sensitive to sound and music. The faculty of hearing is the first to develop and the last to depart. Not only do we hear sound through our ears, but we also perceive sound through our bodies.

Americans spend more money on music than they do on medicine. What does that tell you about how strongly influenced we are by sound?

Sound Therapy recognizes the subtle power of this medium, and operates under the principle that less is more. Therapeutically applied sound has the potential to soothe the nervous system, quiet and focus the mind, settle emotions, relieve pain, and more. The body responds to sound.
